Could you be our next accessibility champion?
Location: Remote or Hybrid - Eastbourne
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 DOE
Zoonou is one of the UK’s leading software testing companies, 100% employee-owned and a Certified B Corporation®.
We don’t just test software - we help our clients create better digital experiences that work for everyone. Because we’re co-owners, we all have a genuine stake in how we do it.
We’re growing sustainably, balancing profit with purpose, and building a company that puts people first: our clients and each other. At Zoonou, the work matters. The way we do it matters even more.
The role
We’re looking for an Accessibility Test Analyst who cares about people as much as technology. Someone who’s curious about how different users experience the web, who asks thoughtful questions, and who wants their work to genuinely make a difference.
You don’t need to be an expert on day one - what matters is that you’re eager to learn. You’ll work closely with our accessibility specialists, gaining hands-on experience with assistive technologies and exploring how real-world barriers impact real users.
If you’re excited by the idea of improving digital journeys, enjoy digging into the details, and want to grow your skills in an inclusive, supportive team, we’d love to meet you.
What you’ll do as our new Test Analyst
You’ll help clients understand how accessible their digital products are - not just where issues exist, but how those issues affect real users. You’ll take a user-centred approach and provide insight that leads to meaningful improvements.
On a typical project, you might:
- Follow structured audit scripts to assess web and mobile accessibility.
- Use assistive technologies to test user journeys from multiple perspectives.
- Document issues clearly and meaningfully, helping teams understand both the what and the why
- Create summary reports that can be understood by technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with other accessibility specialists through daily check-ins and weekly 1:1s.
- Engage with clients on findings, context, and recommended next steps.
As you grow in the role, you may also:
- Deliver accessibility training to clients and colleagues.
- Lead usability tests with disabled users.
- Manage accessibility projects from scoping to delivery.
- Review designs for accessibility considerations.
- Support with document remediation and other specialist tasks.
- Branch into new areas that interest you - accessibility is a wide and evolving field.
Every project is different. Some days you’ll be deep in WCAG audits; other days you’ll be pairing with colleagues, presenting findings, or experimenting with new tools and techniques.
A little bit about your skills, experience and behaviours
You don’t need to tick every box - what matters most is empathy, curiosity, and a commitment to improving digital experiences for everyone. Here’s what we think would set you up for success:
- Familiarity with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and inclusive design principles.
- Confidence interpreting and testing against defined guidelines.
- Ability to read and interpret HTML and CSS.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain findings clearly.
- A willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and approaches.
- Experience in software testing or web accessibility advocacy.
- A collaborative mindset - you enjoy supporting colleagues and building positive relationships.
Nice-to-have skills:
- Engaging with the accessibility community (blogs, forums, meet-ups, etc.).
- Familiarity with assistive technologies such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack, Dragon NaturallySpeaking, or SuperNova.
- Experience with issue-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Asana).
- Ability to read and interpret JavaScript.
- ISTQB Foundation certification.
We’re looking for the best talent to join us on our journey; we’re also seeking people who demonstrate behaviours aligned with our core values – observance, curiosity, positivity, and one-team. At Zoonou, how you do things matters as much as what you do.
