Zoonou is one of the UK’s leading software testing companies, 100% employee-owned and a Certified B Corporation®.
We don’t just test software - we help our clients create better digital experiences that work for everyone. Because we’re co-owners, we all have a genuine stake in how we do it.
We’re growing sustainably, balancing profit with purpose, and building a company that puts people first: our clients and each other. At Zoonou, the work matters. The way we do it matters even more.
The role
We’re looking for a Test Analyst who’s curious, detail-driven, and passionate about improving digital experiences.
You’ll be supported by a close-knit team of testers and consultants, jumping between projects that span industries and technologies. No two clients are the same - that’s what makes it interesting.
If you’ve an eye for detail, love finding out how things work and break, and you want to grow into areas like automation, accessibility, or test management, you’ll fit right in.
What you’ll do as our new Test Analyst
You’ll help our clients understand how their software performs - not just whether it works. You’ll look at things from the user’s point of view, spot what others might miss, and provide insights that genuinely improve digital experiences.
On a typical project, you might:
- Collaborate with clients and delivery teams to understand what success looks like for their product.
- Create clear, effective test plans that align with project goals and timelines.
- Execute manual and exploratory testing across web, mobile, and desktop environments.
- Log and track defects using tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps, ensuring issues are clearly documented and reproducible.
- Work within Agile sprints, contributing to stand-ups, retros, and planning sessions.
- Provide honest, constructive feedback to developers, designers, and PMs - you’re not just finding bugs, you’re improving outcomes.
- Share testing progress through daily or weekly reports, and flag risks early to keep everyone aligned.
- Support junior testers by reviewing test cases, pairing up on exploratory sessions, and helping them grow their confidence and skills.
- Keep up with the latest tools and approaches - whether that’s investing time in automation, exploring load testing, or improving your test documentation.
Every project is different. One week you might be testing a high-traffic e-commerce site, the next, a public-sector service that helps citizens access vital information. Either way, you’ll be helping build better digital experiences.
A little bit about your skills, experience and behaviours
You don’t need to tick every box - what matters most is curiosity, positivity, a great eye for detail and a commitment to quality. Here’s what we think would set you up for success:
- 2+ years of professional experience in software testing, ideally across varied projects or environments.
- A good understanding of the software development lifecycle - you know how code moves from concept to release and where testing adds value.
- Confidence working in Agile or Scrum environments, collaborating closely with developers and delivery teams.
- Familiarity with test management and bug-tracking tools like JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, or Azure DevOps.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - you enjoy digging into why something fails, not just reporting that it does.
- Clear, calm communication - you can explain complex findings to non-technical people and build positive relationships with clients.
- Solid organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities across projects.
- An ISTQB Foundation certification (or equivalent knowledge).
Nice-to-have skills:
- Additional ISTQB certifications or other software testing qualifications.
- Experience with automation, BDD, or Gherkin scripting.
- SQL or API testing experience.
- A degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
We’re looking for the best talent to join us on our journey; we’re also seeking people who demonstrate behaviours aligned with our core values – observance, curiosity, positivity, and one-team. At Zoonou, how you do things matters as much as what you do.
